Global Gathering: Where to find World Music at SXSW 2019

With so many showcases, workshops, sessions, and parties, navigating SXSW can be overwhelming. We’re sharing our top picks to help you make the most of your Austin experience!

Meet Up

Don’t miss the official SXSW World Music Meetup on Friday, March 15, at 12:30 PM in Brush Square Park, hosted by rock paper scissors! This relaxed, casual meet-up is a chance to have a beer, socialize, and make meaningful connections, so bring your business cards. Make sure you say hello to Abby Noroozi, music campaign manager at rock paper scissors. Stephanie Orentas of globalFEST, Alex Walter, Womex Director, and Todd Puckhaber, SXSW senior music event and programming manager, are planning to attend.
